2016 2233 Festival Scooter Competition
On 28th January, Engadine District Youth Services (EDYS) hosted the 2233 Festival at Engadine, with a Scooter Competition, Live Music and Outdoor Cinema Screening of a Classic Skateboarding Movie, Grind.
The event was a tremendous success, with over 260 people in attendance, and 23 local youths competing in the Scooter competition. The arial skills on display had the adults holding their breath, and the kids cheering. The crowds were entertained by X-Ray J, who belted out some tunes and added to the vibe of the day. As the day drew to a close, we finished with the outdoor cinema screening of classic skateboard movie, Grind.
Our thanks to the EDYS team – Vera, Nate, Pablo & Irena for their hard work co-ordinating the event, and the businesses such as Engadine Cycles & Scooters, BE Productions, Grit Freestyle Scooter Co, & Sacrifice Scooters who supported the event with AV Equipment and prizes for the winners. Our thanks to our two local pro-scooter judges Jess Boland & Tamzen Steele, whose reputations and expertise brought additional credibility to the event.
Here are some pics from the day.
